A couple of years ago it happened: Finnish fashion designer Daniel Palillo, pretty famous all over world, decided he had enough.

No more fashion.

Now he has an exhibition at Design Museum Helsinki exhibiting things (paintings, textile sculptures) that look ­ like clothes. Or fashion.

His comments on the fashion world are hilarious and rough but no way mean. I bet there are a lot of visitors who would like to wear those things, warm and cuddly.

Daniel Palillo: Mainly Portraits until May 25th at Design Museum Gallery. The exhibition is a part of Pre Helsinki fashion event later this month.

Sweet baby steps with Minna Parikka

Fun for your kitchen

Maus can opener by designer Antti Eklund is a lovely item I once lost and now found again (OK, my husband found it by locating the shop that sells it in Helsinki).

I assure you that it makes opening the tin joyful and easy.

Where to find it? Check the shop Terttu Lilja Oy, Mannerheimintie 69, Helsinki. It is also available in some net shops.

Kaisa and Christoffer on bikes - sixty times

Finnish comic book author Kaisa Leka told her husband that she is fed up with drawing bicycles (they are known as a biking authors who have been biking almost everywhere on this planet).

– Never mind, we can ask colleagues to do it, her husband comforted her.

Then they sent empty white papers to other brilliant comic book artists and got 60 answers.

The suberb exhibition of those drawings opened yesterday at gallery Kalleria and closes on Sunday 30th August at 6 pm, so hurry up!

Once again they have opended their home in Orimattila to a summer exhibition of Finnish contemporary art.

TOSI/EPÄTOSI (Real/Unreal) is a wonderful experience, challenging your senses and pampering you with true beauty.
